The Public Health Department is excited to share with you the new Living Well Strategy. This strategy has been a long time coming – we’ve spent six months consulting, engaging, and developing the document, with the help of people all around Argyll & Bute.
This strategy is a key part of Public Health’s work. It lays out our ambitions and aims for an Argyll & Bute where people who have long-term conditions or who are at risk of health problems are supported and encouraged to manage their health. This is not about reducing or changing the services we already provide – instead, the strategy is meant to highlight the ways in which people can support themselves between accessing those services. The Living Well Strategy is built around supporting community networks and services, and highlighting to staff and volunteers the best ways to help people to manage their health.
Now it’s time for you to have your say. We encourage you to read the attached documents – the shorter is a summary, meant to be read easily, while the longer document contains more information about what our strategy is and how we got here. When you’ve read them, you can let us know what you think by filling out the survey here.
This survey will be open until June 7th, after which we will finalise the strategic documents and add an implementation plan to describe how we will achieve our aims.
Help us to improve wellbeing in Argyll & Bute – help us to make this strategy the best it can be. Thank you.
