Over 25 different children attended throughout the 6 weeks and most attended for more than one session. The final week on Tuesday 22nd June was attended by local councillors Aileen Morton & Vivien Dance alongside local MP Brendan O’Hara who was more than happy to have a shot of DJing on the new digital music equipment.

Money received from the Kintyre Health & Wellbeing Network to attend training on Birthlight Baby Yoga with plan to carry out sessions to mum and their infants who are between the age of 3-12 months. Group sessions have been carried out as part of the training and are near completion.

This funding enables us to roll out a programme of Branching Out Argyll activities across the whole area and we anticipate running 1 or 2 programmes in Cowal each year for the next 3 years. It also enables us to focus on developing an appropriate monitoring system for the programmes to monitor health benefits and outcomes from the programmes.

The project construction provided volunteering opportunity for about 15 learning woodworking skills under supervision of an Architect and Historic Scotland. The completed linking boardwalk will provide an access path which can be used by walkers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the castle grounds and the community woodland in a circular route.

Fitness and laughter club continued to meet on a Monday afternoon throughout the year. Provided social contact for individuals isolated due to physical and/or mental health needs.

Following community purchase of former Rockfield School by Oban Communities Trust a small group of volunteers began the tidy up of the garden site.
June 2015 – Work continued on site over summer with small tubs installed, small area planted and an open area for use for picnic site with benches and seating purchased.

We started in August 2013 with the aim of providing a safe, secure and confidential environment for people with cancer.
We try and alternate meetings, one with a theme e.g. speaker, and one an open meeting enabling members to talk and share.

Women try their best to make their children feel settled in what can be such a worrying time, for them all, and unfortunately with children and young people there is always something or someone who comes and needs money for school trips, after school activities, summer activities etc, so therefore we are able to provide some help to those families, because of this funding.

We set out to raise awareness of the help available from Kintyre Food Bank across rural Kintyre. We also wanted to produce a recipe booklet using ingredients provided in food parcels.

An annual multi-trail 10K run has commenced in Arrochar to take over from a previous cross-country run last organised in 1947.
The inaugural race of the new era started at 10.30 am on the 17th September in glorious weather which allowed the competitors to see Arrochar and its immediate surrounds at its best. Around 100 competitors started and completed the scenic course.
